On Saturday Kim attended the baby shower my family threw and secured lots of swag while having a good time.
In order to prevent my mind from exploding due to the presence of far too many women and no men, my father took me to the Sens game that afternoon where they played a spirited match with the Pittsburgh Penguins and managed to eke out a 5-4 victory. Huzzah!
On Sunday, Kim and I decided to go to Ikea and buy a massive bookshelf for the boys' room which I put together that night with the help of Supervisor Kim. "Grab 4 of those plastic things and whack them into the holes in the big piece of wood...." "Which holes, the inside or the outside?" "The ones on the end." "No, up here." "No down here!" "I meant on top!" "Oh those holes..." "Let me see those instructions!"
It was an interesting project.
To top the weekend off, I go outside to the car this morning and find it completely covered in ice. Great. Spent a half an hour scraping that sucker off before I could see enough to drive slowly to work.
On the upside, ice rain means warmer temperatures!
