This Is Not What I Had I Mind For March

Yesterday I braved the elements in the morning and made my way slowly to work. I saw some cars stuck in their driveways but other than that it didn't seem to bad. But it kept snowing all morning.

At noon I went to Jiu-Jitsu class and had a heck of a time getting into their parking lot. There must have been a foot of snow at this point and my little Corolla was struggling to get around. I had to go forwards and backwards several times to get myself into a spot and I thought to myself as I headed inside, I won't be able to get out.

After class I trudged out to the parking lot and started up the car, brushed off the extra centimetres of snow that had fallen, and made a valiant effort to get out. I made some progress, but the ice under the snow was foiling my efforts. Fortunately other students from the school came out and gave me the push I needed to get out to the road which was marginally better.

Then I parked and came back to help out the other three vehicles that needed pushes out of the parking lot. After more than a half and hour later everyone was out and I made my way back to work. My shoes were soaked, my feet freezing, and my pant legs damp. The afternoon was miserable.

First thing I did when I got home was change into warm comfy dry clothes and relaxed the night away watching Lord of the Rings with Kim.

By the way, the long range forecast? More snow.
