Recovering From Easter Weekend

Despite Kim still being under the weather, we made the sojourn out to Brockville and Greenbush for our respective family dinners. I went alone to my parent's place on Friday leaving Kim to snooze and rest at her parent's place where we had a second dinner on Saturday. Needless to say I'm quite full this week.

Sunday was a quiet at home day. I started getting our info together for our taxes and tried to do grocery shopping and was quite surprised to find all the stores closed. I guess I thought since Friday was a holiday everyone would be open on Sunday as normal. I thought wrong.

Kim is slowing improving from the nadir of Tuesday evening where she lost her voice and we checked in at the Carleton Place hospital. Last night she almost could speak above a whisper and her hacking cough has toned down into a plain old cough. She's still pretty zapped of energy but her appetite is improving.

We got the news on Friday that the cesarean operation is booked for middle of the day on April 24th. That is to say, barring any early labour our boys will be born on April 24th. We're very excited to finally have a firm date and I've booked my two weeks off starting on the 23rd.

One month to go!
