Third Time's A Charm

While camping I started reading Stephen King's It for the third time, using the new paperback Kim bought me for Christmas as my original copy was losing pages and falling apart. I love the book, its my favourite of Stephen King's novels. I'll probably read it again in another decade.

The reason I love this story so much is because it appeals to my love of a good yarn, taking lots of fully realized characters and imersing the reader into their world and the idioms and viewpoints. Plus its got a monster, a quest to defeat said monster, victories, defeats, heros, villians, and awesome climax. The TV movie they made about it, however, sucked.
