Last night Bill and I went into our small town Home Hardware store to pick up an order. While we were there, I noticed an elderly man standing at the back watching the tv. As I looked at him again, I was sure that he was the same man we saw last week when we put in our order. He was in the same place, doing the same thing...both times he was standing near the back counter watching the tv, speaking to no one. I asked Bill if he thought it was the same guy and he thought it was too.
I thought this was pretty sad. I hope that when I am old, I will never be bored enough to stand around in a store watching tv, talking to no one.
Bill gave me a hug and said, "don't ever leave me...or I'll be old and standing around watching kids play warhammer, telling them how it used to be done when I was young."
Oh, to never be lonely...
