Bill and I have had the kids up all week for March break...
Last night, neither one of us felt like cooking dinner, and since we already needed to make another run to the grocery store, we picked up a bucket of fried chicken and potato wedges. (yum!)
I was getting chocolate milk as everyone else was sitting around the dinner table...I heard the girls each ask for a leg...it's their favorite piece. Then Holden said, "I like breasts". Since I was in the kitchen, I had a little giggle where no one could see me. (remember, Holden is only 6)
After I joined everyone at the table, the conversation continued.
Bill: "Kim, what piece would you like?" (knowing full well what I wanted!)
Kim: "A breast."
Holden: "You like breasts too, Kimmie?"
Kim: "Yes, they're my favorite."
Holden: "Breasts are my favorite...I love breasts."
Kim: "Bill loves breasts too...but he also loves legs. I'm not sure which he likes better...I think breasts, eh honey."
Bill: **shakes his head at me and tries to fight back the laughter** "Kim, you better hope they don't remember this conversation when they're older!"
I think I'm getting a cramp from laughing too hard...
Holden was so serious and I couldn't help but find the humor in the conversation...it was way too hard not to laugh last night...I didn't want to answer the "what's so funny?" question!

HA! That's hilarious! Unfortunately Jacob would have understood the whole conversation at 6. And now at 10 I'm sure he'd be thinking about it. Public school! ;)
Just the other day we were looking at an email. The caption was "boys". The picture is of a woman with ample bossoms and a skimpy dress and the teenage boy was looking right down at 'em. I started laughing. Jacob says, "I don't get it." I said, "That's because you're looking right there (circling her breasts with the mouse :p) instead of at the whole picture. He just started laughing. Boys!
