Last weekend we saw the son of our good friends Tamara and Ordell at his Taekwondo competition and seeing the dojo, students, and martial arts brought back fond memories of my Jiu-Jitsu training I did for a year and a bit back when I was still in university. Back then I acheived the rank of Green Belt in the Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu style through the Hiscoe Dojo in south Ottawa. But money concerns and then moving away to find work brought that to an end.
So Kim and I talked and I'm considering getting back into it. So today I called up and arranged to go in Monday to a dojo on Carling and see if I can hack it again. I'll report back then.
