I too am happy to be finished with our Christmas shopping. Of course, shopping is the easy part for me...the wrapping is the real chore. I've been getting a little done here and there, over the past couple of weeks, but yesterday was major wrap time for me...I spent somewhere between 2 and 3 hours at it.
Lucky for me, Bill offered to give me some help after he got home. Of course, I believe that was one of the offers he makes, trying to make himself look good, while hoping I'll say "no thanks". After he offered, he was like, "are you sure? I don't do a very good job..." SEE, definitely trying to get me to say no!!! It's not that he's not a good wrapper...he just doesn't like it! Bill's not one for adding trimmings, but that's no big deal to me...I like the gifts to look kinda fancy sometimes, but I will sacrifice that for some help. My neck was getting quite sore, so I was soooooooo grateful when he offered to help, I jumped for it! In all the years we've been together, that was the first time that we'd ever done wrapping together. Every year, Bill wraps the gifts that he buys for me and the rest is up to me...I don't know who made it that way, it's just one of those things that I take responsibility for...like doing the laundry.
Anyways, it was funny that after wrapping about only 3 things, he was acting like it was sooooo much work! I gave him a couple more to wrap and you would've thought that he'd been out working all morning instead of playing...too funny. Poor guy...now he has to wrap my things (no wonder he tries to fit as many gifts into one box as possible!) ;)
