Worry

Wednesday evening I was checking out Rexy the Panther Gecko and noticed her throat was lumpy and swollen. Worried that the poor thing was sick, we made an appointment with the only decent lizard vet in Eastern Ontario and this morning I drove her out to Orleans.

"It could be just hormones," he said, adding that she was developing some eggs at the moment. "Or she may need some more heat." So we're to keep an eye on here and see how she fares once the eggs pass. So we are in watch and wait mode. If her swelling increases we may have to do a $300 procedure to have a biopsy done.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
