sweet victory...
Yesterday I made rice krispies squares for the kids (wink, wink). Tonight when Bill got home, there were only two left...he ate one. Then when he wasn't looking, I grabbed the last one and took a bite. He turned around and looked at me, playfully scowling and said, "hey, I was going to eat that...I was saving it!" (As if it was his to save!) I told him that she who makes the squares gets to eat the last one. Well, he decided that he should get it away from me...and a race around the house began. (You see, our house has an open-concept, so you can run around in a circle around the kitchen/dining room/living room.) He finally caught up with me and there was still about 3/4 left of the square, so I shoved the whole thing in my mouth, while still trying to chew what was already in there. I was laughing so hard I almost choked!!! He let go of me in defeat...I took it out of my mouth...then he decided to give it another go...who cares if it was in my mouth, right?! Well, I'm proud to say that he didn't win...victory never tasted so sweet!
